๐กDid You Know?
Hangul is the only alphabet in the world where the creator and creation date are known.
The shape of consonants (ใด, ใฑ, ใ , ใ , ใ ) mimics the actual shape of your mouth and tongue.
King Sejong created Hangul to help the people express their thoughts freely when they didn't know how to read difficult Chinese characters.

What Hangul Playground Is
Hangul Playground is a free site for learning to read Hangul, the Korean alphabet, through short games rather than long lessons. Everything here is built around Korean food โ the words you meet on menus, packaging, and in dramas โ because they are the words a new learner will actually see again within days, and because attaching a letter to a bowl of ๊น์น์ฐ๊ฐ is easier than attaching it to a chart.
The site has three layers. The learning tools teach: a syllable builder for assembling blocks by hand, a vocabulary gallery with photos and native audio, and a set of twenty in-depth articles on consonants, vowels, batchim, sound change, food words, and the history of the alphabet. The games test what you have learned under a little pressure โ Block Builder, Hangul Rain, and Card Match, each with six levels and a global leaderboard. The community is where learners from dozens of countries swap tips and share photos from Korea.
Every learning tool and article is open without an account, and the interface is available in six languages. An account only matters for the games, where it saves your unlocked levels and puts your scores on the leaderboard. A good first session is fifteen minutes: read one article, build a few syllables, then try level one of Hangul Rain.
